Lake Farm is a rural property set in its own grounds with panoramic views across the Welsh hills. Our beautiful self-catering Black Mountain Shepherds Hut is perched above our wildlife pond in a quiet, secluded spot. It includes a double bed, en-suite shower room, tea/coffee making facilities and for romantic evenings why not light the little hobbit log burning stove.
Out of the hut, across the sun deck and down the steps you will find a beautiful private hot tub. Next to the tub is the 'Boat house' the kitchen and dining space, perfect for alfresco dining or just to relax and enjoy the view, whatever the weather. A small moveable fire pit is available, great when spending the evening star gazing.
Prices are from £140 per night based on two guests, self catering and minimum stay of 2/3 nights.

What a gem!
Wonderful getaway from the city. The hut was absolutely immaculate and once we got the stove going it was perfect for a cozy night in. Such a peaceful setting. Communication with the hosts was great from booking through to check out. The breakfast baguettes were epic and fuelled our walk round beautiful nearby Powys castle. We will definitely be back in the summer to make use of the boat house facilities. Can’t recommend enough :)

Couldn’t recommend Charlotte's place more, really relaxing and exactly what we wanted. The extra option for breakfast and clay shooting as well really made our stay memorable!

The reviews we read in advance were excellent and our experience more than lived up to these reviews . Charlotte allowed us to leave food in advance. This was a great help as we were backpacking Offas Dyke, which runs less than a mile away. The views from the Boat house and the Shepherd’s Hut are amazing and the location very romantic and peaceful. Charlotte and her family are very friendly and welcoming.
